Here is the payoff Malosos. The above pictures represent all the donations throughout the year that were received. A hot meal, blankets, and toys. And last but not least a smile. Which is what the Malosos are all about.
I received the following attached message. To all Malosos members our charity drive for the orphanage of the Children of Tecate is as follows. There will be a charity basketball game and collection of toys for the children this Saturday, December 21, 2003. The charity drive will be held at Morgan Park in the City of Baldwin Park, 4100 Baldwin Park Blvd. Those members who are interested in volunteering your time please contact Joe Vasquez at 626 851-8186 or Larry Quintanar at 909 868-7454. If you are unable to attend you can still make a donation or donate a toy or a new blanket. Thank you to all our members I know we can count on you. Thank you, beforehand.

The following is the translation of the letter attached.
To who it corresponds,
On Sunday December 21, 2003 the second sports event will
be carried out By The Ninez of Tecate whose purpose is to collect toys and new
blankets for the children of the area of Tecate,BC.
The event will consist of Hispanic personalities of the media. Their will also
be local politicians, state and national. Among the personalities confirmed to
participate are: Omar Fierro, Rolando Nichols, Ofelia de la Torre, Dunia Elvir,
y Paparrush and Palmira Perez, among others. The politicians that have
confirmed and participating are: Hilda Solis, Rosario Marin, Antonio
Villaraigoza, Fernando Pedroza and Ed Escareno among others. They will play a
basketball game with the intension to collect toys and blankets for the ninos of
Tecate. The Hispanic community is invited to participate to collaborate with
its aid. The toys and blankets will be collected and delivered in person and
distributed to the ninos on Saturday December 27. Food will be served for the
ninos on behalf of the number one Booster Club in Southern California,
THE MALOSOS, for the children of Tecate. This drive will be carried
out on Sunday December 21 at Morgan Park in Baldwin Park, 4100 Baldwin Park
Blvd. corner with Ramona Blvd. At two o'clock in the afternoon. Blankets and
toys that are donated should be delivered on this day. For more information on

I would like to congratulate all of you, Malosos So. Cal Raiders Booster Club on our pledge of $250.00 to Padres Contra el Cancer. First, and foremost, let me say 'Thank You Very Much' for your generous donation in support of our children and families at Padres Contra El Cáncer. It is only through the generosity and support from caring individuals like you and your colleagues at the Malosos So. Cal. Raiders Booster Club that we are able to assist more than 2,800 children and families in the southern California region whose lives have been disrupted by childhood cancer.
Second, please accept my sincere apology for the tardy nature of our response to your initial correspondence. Recently, we transitioned our website to a new administrator and a different server. Given that we did not receive prompt notice of your initial message, we did some research and discovered a minor glitch in the transfer of electronic correspondence to our new server. Thanks to your input, Michelle Chávez, our Director of Information Systems and Communication, has addressed this matter and it is now resolved.
On a more positive note, Mr. Quintanar, it is with great respect and appreciation that our children and families cordially invite you to attend our 18th Annual Family Picnic & Carnival, scheduled for Sunday, August 24th at Whittier Narrows Park in South El Monte (12:00 PM-6:00 PM). More than 1,000 childhood cancer patients and their families take part in this annual celebration, to include food, carnival rides, carnival games and lots of entertainment. This activity remains by and far our largest family gathering of the year; this year, we expect 3,500 persons will take part in this activity. If you have an opportunity to attend, you will enjoy an afternoon that you will not soon forget. The experience is truly that compelling.
